The Resilient Bridgeport project has three framework principles: 1) integrating multiple lines of defense and resiliency to provide redundancy and higher levels of safety; 2) facilitating the flow of materials and people along the waterways to strengthen regional economy and ecology; and 3) connecting residents to water resources and restoring the centrality of water to Bridgeport’s identity. These principles, along with community engagement, create a framework informing the design.
